i can't put just 3 down......

i have a top 3 for about 10 different categories..........

the other day I watched 'the old man & the sea' and i thought it was excellent, i will always find time for 'carry on up the khyber', original 'italian job', an ealing comedy, i have a morbid fascination with schindlers list, but i don't truly enjoy it, there is a film called 'matinee' that i'll almost guarantee you've never heard of, but it is really good.. i thought RV would be rubbish, but it was excellent, 'the others' had me shutting doors & checking windows for weeks, 'true lies' was so ludicrous that it was brilliant, jaws stopped us swimming in the sea...'analyse this' had a mafia henchman who was truly funny, even though bob deniro was crap & billy crystal was his usual whiny self. laurel & hardy's 'way out west' makes me laugh till i can't breathe

i know that my bottom three are:

3. titanic: as the time the effects were stunning, now they are clunky, kate winslets baps were ace, but the story was crap & that song!!!!!!
2. meet the parents: sorry, but robert deNiro really can't do funny, and that film was so leaden that i was depressed afterwards.... the cat/ashes/electricution gags were so obvious, and the toilet that you couldn't flush after a certain time was not funny or possible.........
1. ishtar: anyone who ever tried to watch this will agree with me.......

hahalol no mate im in construction, we like to call ourselves scenic carpenters lol , that boat that gets carnaged was built in a string factory in chatem docks in kent, and the part where the pigs are getting cut in half by the big bandsaw, that scene was shot, knocked down, then rebuilt 4 times! at well over 200k a pop:eek:

I was in Shadowlands starring anthony hopkins, it was filmed in oxford.... there is a scene on mayday morning with people jumping in a river, i was next to the second jumper... blink & you'd miss it....

deniro plays psychos really well, but for every great film he does, he does about ten howlers, pretty much the same hit rate as jack nicholson........

Bloody hell, plenty of bacon butties that day then lol All the scenes where Sherlock explained his pre-thoughts before his attack moves were quality. I thought Jude Law was pretty good at Dr Watson surprisingly.
The only thing that seemed wrong was that Holmes and Watson were wrong in height to all the other Sherlock dramas over the years.

slightly off thread, but we used to work with a bricky known as hutty(andy hutt).. his missus started coming to work as his labourer.. one of our lads put it about that he brought her so he didn't have to kiss her goodbye, and another started calling her jabba & they never worked out the joke.....
