Missed last month's phone bill payment (lost the bill and forgot etc, I know stupid) but they sent it with this months saying I had to pay asap. Paid it last friday cash and everything been fine since then, until I tried to send a message earlier and it bounced. Now all calls from my phone have been barred!

Cant get hold of orange cause calls are barred and havent really got a clue what to do next. Anyone had this problem before?

Ring Orange off a different phone. :wtf:

you tried ringing 150?

Yep. It gives me the menu but when i tries to connect to a customer services person actually on a phone it gives me "all calls are barred" message. Bit daft cause everything on 150 and on the online account thing is telling me I have nothing to pay them.

Will be changing company once this is over, had enough of Orange.

If your on a contract I wouldm't have thought they would bar you, what happens when you ring 150

Also try this and ring from a land line. :thumb:

Well just ring them off a landline. Should be able to find their number on an old bill or google

Unfortunately everything is registered to my father because we took the account out when i was 17. There was no other warning than it had to be paid in 7 days, of which it was. Was going to transfer everything this week into my name if I could as there's no point it being in my dads name any longer. This isnt good as he may have a black mark on his credit rating now.

He's going to get in contact with them from landline asap to find out what's going on.

Just looking at similar contracts on different networks now, as I dont get a good deal anyway.

Yes they do bar the contract if you don't pay the bill but they usually send a letter before hand?

I've had this with orange before and they do bar the phone until payment has gone through. They barred me for about 2 weeks after me ringing them telling them id payed. Just get in touch and keep on to them mate. I found them useless when i spoke to them though.

Its been paid since friday as I said, find it weird how they've only just cut me off.

To be honest I thought I'd used too many txts and they were "investigating my usage" in terms of fair use policy, apparently I'm nowhere near my limit so thats not the problem.

I'll get onto them if I can (at uni right now and dont have any bills etc so my father will have to do it anyway)

Yeah its probably not come up on there records yet. Like i say i had the same random thing happen to mine. Try going to the orange website and getting the customer helpline of there, think thats what i had to do in the end. But you will need a land line to call them off...

People still pay bills without direct debits? Yikes lol

How did you pay by cash? I'm assuming you have some form of receipt...

Paid into bank using the slip at bottom of bill. My mum did it for me (me at uni, bill gets sent to parents house) so I'm sure that's how she did it...to make sure it was paid straight away.

Does it not take around 7 days for it even to hit your account if you do it that way (pay using slip at bank)?

Bars also take upto 48hours to come off after they remove them

If it does then I was basically fooked anyways lol

And perhaps I should have just payed over the phone using my card.

Missing one bill can really screw you over kids. To be honest I'm not sure I even received the bill for december.

Ill just have to sit and hope my dad gets through to them pretty damn quick.

Missing a bill won't affect your credit rating IF you pay the amount due within a certain date (I missed a loan payment once as some money I paid into my account didn't clear in time). I would guess if it was over a month ago you've missed the date though :(

And yeah, even though you're paying cash, as its going via the bank it will still take a few days to get through to Orange. I'm sure they'll reconnect you as soon as the funds show up on their records though.

Strange thing is I never recieved a letter reminder until next bill came...so in theory i did ay in time.

EDIT: My dad's just come off phone with them, my number should never have been barred and they have received payment for the bills and all is settled.

Says something about automated systems doesnt it.

can take up to 7 working days paying via the slip, they wont have had confirmation from the bank yet today is only the second working day in effect

if your dad does get through they wont unbar it till the funds have cleared

I left Orange 2 years ago after some shocking customer service, they basically passed all my personal details to another customer and declined to do anything about it.

Get away from them as soon as possible, I personally would not touch that company with a barge pole, totally shocking service.
