I got these without tyres and wasn't sure what to do with them as the corrosion damage to the polished lip is extensive.

They are League alloys 7J wide 17Inch ET40 offset.

As you can see the corrosion is extensive..(And not my first choice of colour either..lol)

But I decided to give them 1 chance and have attempted to repolish them, I think it's worked well so will do all 4 them have the blue painted anthracite keeping the 'rivets' silver.

Here's one part way through..

Nice!

Have you just left the rim polished, or lacquered it?

Mark

Lacquer on the Anthracite only, that way any marks on the polished bit are easy to rub out.

Hmm, I'll have to give this a go with my Kazeras, sans-lacquer. I did one, but then lacquered the rim in an attempt to protect it a bit (wasn't too worried about a high shine anyway), but after a week or two the lacquer went gakky lol

Yeah, had that on another wheel I did a while ago, when you've done the hard work getting them to the nice polished stage it takes minutes to polish out any small marks. :thumb:

Hmm I was going to polish up my SR steels and go for lacquer as the diesel will most likely get run through winter until it dies, if it goes horrid im wondering if its worth it though, as polishing them through winter will be a pain!

A complete wheel would be a pain, just the lip is manageable.
