Hi at the minute im looking to rent a small patch of land (mainly for chickens but for other stuff aswell) but i dont have a clue where to look!lol .
I've looked in the back of the local paper, local estate agents and gumtree but it all brings up nothing!lol.

I would ideally like to rent but if it was cheap enough i would buy a small plot.

Anyone know where to look(certain websites etc) or local councils? or is it just a case of going round to local farmers and either A. getting a salt pellet up my **** or B. getting chased back down the drive by the farmers dogs lol

id start with farmers, or have a hunt for plots. most likely found on a farm....so i reccomend...farmers

You'll be lucky to find some land with easy access to, as most land that has easy access, will be either too large/too much rent, and those that are cheap will rpobably be 'boundary locked' as in, you've got to over other peoples fields to get to yours, also some councils are weird about it and place tight restrictions on what you can use the land for

Try here CLICKY (http://www.uklanddirectory.org.uk/building-land-plot-sales-yorks.asp) :)

Not sure how much money you have or where in Yorkshire you are lol Anyway it's a start.

look up local estate agents, auctioneers and valuers.....

try the local NFU (national farmers union) office, they can help you with names of agents....

is there a local cattle market, as these are usually run by old estate agent firms... and ask about at the market...
