if should have f10/5wr 4.18:1 stamped on the side of the gearbox casing

is this a good box would realy like to get the most out ov her,,had a e36 bmw straight six just before.....i do no its only a 1.4 but im thinkin cam,4 branch,maybee going to see bog bros for some carbs.Does any one no the best way to get a tad more power out of it cheers !!

the f13cr is better with the 4.18 diff stuck in as a performance option..

the sr box is a plain jane 5speed box with a low diff, the best way to get more power is to fit a 12st ported head, big cam, solid lifters & then try some more fuelling.. you will get a set of 40's & manifold sorted out for less than it will take to get a set of bike carbs sorted.

well, if you get an f13cr box from a 12v corsa 1.0, it could be as low as £20, or it could be £50 depending on the market.

but twin 40's & manifold are a different matter. a couple of hundred as a good guess, plus setting up at a decent garage
