View Full Version : 2.0l 8v ne with the seh ecu
i have an NE engine and some were in the garage i have the esh ecu and loom
now i know that the NE is 115bhp and the seh is 130bhp so by putting the seh ecu on my NE.will that give it more bhp ?
thanks :thumb:
the difference in the seh is more to do with compression ration & possibly cam than the ecu.

theres a fela on the mig web forum that put a full x20xev block in his ne calibra he's running std ecu, cam and head. Mad high CR but he has it in about 10,000miles now without problems. Its probly a cheaper and handier option than changing pistons and all that stuff in going to do this to the c20ne engine which i am puting in my kadett c.

I have a 1991 Cav SRi with the SEH, and i know for sure that from 1988-late1991 both the NE and SEH shared the same Bosch ML4.1 Motronic ECU.
What i dont know about is the post 1991 NE engines, i dont know for sure, but may be right in thinking all Cavaliers/Calibras post 1991 2.0L NE engines and (ecotec?) had a different ECU. all i know is the ECU consisted of two parts, both the basic control unit and the PROM (Programmable Read-only Memory). They have two separate plugs to the ECU.
