to be honest i like differnt things in the mk1 and mk2 like i like the mk1 because its retro and cool, but the mk2 because of it semi moderness, it will be a daily car so i guess the gsi... mmmmm silky

since then its lower, splitter and mudflaps removed, door vinyl sorted, new rear bumper and had another engine swap lol.

defo gsi. pro's - nicer interior, nicer dash, nicer front end, you can get them in silk violet and this might sound stupid. . . nicer stearing wheel. con's - i cant think of any.

i have got a GTE shell and am on building it at the min. putting a mk2 gray dash in tho can't stand the mk 1 dash. i liked mk 2 before i owened 2 but now i really like the mk 1 any day.

I can't choose! I've had both GTE and GSi (still got GSi) but love both!

Exteriour wise, I've always prefered how the GTE bumpers are grey at the bottom to follow round to the side skirts, whereas the GSi skirts just seem to be sat there, not part of the overall car, if you know what I mean.

As for dash, I like both but the MK2 is better built and takes digi clocks a lot easier, if you want em.
I prefer GSi interiour to GTE but like both! I can't decide!

Cheers. Hard to say how low it is as it's on coilovers. The rear is totally stripped out though. Would say about 70mm front, 90mm rear at a guess.
