:thumb: It is not hard to push down but it is a long time on coming bk up any ideas maybee cable ?? sorry if im getting anoying also should it have solid disks?? im sure my j reg sr had vented cheers!?:confused: the guy was reconing it needed bleeding up im thinking they may be the wrong disks. Cheers its on a g?

A G reg non-GTE will have solid discs.

Your clutch cable is sticking. Lubing it will help but its probably rusted through like most of them do.

You'll have to swap the calipers aswell to fit vented discs.

the calipers are masive compared to the 12 items i have normaly had how can i tell?,The car is 50 50 mk2 and mk1 it a hybrid lol

Vented MK2 items look somewhat like that, but a touch smaller.

my clutch cable was very 'slow' to come back up, then one day it snapped lol, for about a tenner i put a new one on, and made it so much better.

cheers for the input......it looks like the same caliper......the last owner was a numty put side skirts on of god nows wat? They only be described as a pair of wings the came out further than the wheels...........some chaps? any way think ill go for the cluch cable cheers.

Also check the earthing strap is in place.

If you have a bad earth what can happen with cables is they start acting as the earth for the starter motor...and the cable melts itself a little channel into the plastic liner. Seen it happen!
