Anyone have the foggiest on bleeing the fuel system on a Y17DT motor? I got a mahooovise air lock in it an now it wont start :(

Cant as the mongs on CCUK as there site is broke :d

As burgo has said, They're self bleed, just crack a couple of injector pipes off.

Good idea lol

Thats how the air lock got there in the first place lol slacken the 4 pipes off that go into the head an just keep turning the engine over until it sprays fuel out kinda thing?

Sweet. I was cranking the engine over for about 60 seconds using a booster pack an it refused to fire up :(

Other thing is, the Fuel ECU took a nasty bang so I hope to fcuk that still works, costly as fook they are :(

You could also try running it on easy start for a bit as it will eventually draw its own fuel

lol lol funny thing is that would probably also work hahaha lol

I only need to get it running to drive it about 500 yards for its MOT & some minor remidial work.

Fuel pump ecus were notorious for the solder coming away on the pcb, possible if you've dropped it! That's why people make mega bucks selling them on e-bay after a quick re-solder!

Pull the back of the pump ecu off, it's easily visible.
