Well today fitted new oil pipe, and thought would give the engine a clean as was covered in oil with the pipe splitting so i set out with the degreaser etc and cleaned it all off. now after doing this i tried to start it and it wouldnt start(did perfect first time before hand) dont know if the liquid could of got into something it shouldnt of? any ideas what i can try to get it going again? is it worth taking off the carb and giving it a clean inside and making sure its all dry? when i try to start it it just keeps turning over and then give off a puff sound and smoke abit through the air filter. never had this before any ideas?
all help greatly appreciated

whip the plugs out and spin it over (clear the cylinders) and clean the plugs, check inside the dizzy, err, other than that check any electrical connections, and earth leads.

youve probably knocked a wire or connector outta place whilst scrubbing with the degreaser, check all electrical connectors/connections in the area. hopefully that sorts it :thumb:
