2 owners, one being British Sugar the other being a good friend at work.

LOADS and LOADS of history with the car as it was a lease car to British Sugar no expense has been spared.

It has EVERY receipt from work done to it.

Not moved for a year as my friend got Astra Vxr brand new, so no tax or test.

Plans are, full clean/polish, tax /test, new battery, cam belt/pulley change, oil filter change plus a few bits. It also has 4 brand new tyres on it.

I paid £800.

Opinions ?

Good price ?

I thought all Vectras were silver lol

£800 seems a good price to me. I'd be happy with that.

very good price for a gen GSi imo unless it needs £1000 worth of work for the MOT lol (im sure it wont tho)

Oil cooler? Has the expansion tank turned into a chocolate milkshake machine?

A little yes

no mayonaise in the oil tho. plugs are clean too.

any ideas Jack ? you seem to be quite in the know with v6's.

i thought they had something that sits between the heads that mixes water and oil ?

not going to be happy if it cost loads of pennies

Assuming its the same as the 3.0, there's a small oil cooler which sits inbetween the heads, in a "bath" of coolant. Its not uncommon for it to leak and mix the oil into the water apparently (happened on mine)

Not too hard to replace - simply remove the inlet gubbins and there it is.
