hi just got a 60mm lowering kit through today, just wondering can i use my standard top mounts? and if so whats the best way of getting them off, as when i turn the bolt in the middle the whole thing spins. ive bolted the 2 smaller screws back on the car and tried but it all spins and mades a dodgey noise.

clamp the piston up but try not to mark it in any way. Mole grips or water pump pliers

yea you can use the same top mounts

this should be in mechanical anyway

got another problem managed to get the old top mounts off by cutting the springs off and putting them in a vice super tight and undo'ing them, but the new lowering kits the same so how can i tighten the middle nut up without ripping it apart? only other way i can think of is tighten the unit up and lower it down and maybe the weight of the front end will stop it spinning? otherwise i cant think of anyother way?

impact gun. or as you say, lower the weight onto it. make sure its tight though

yeah the rest if the "unit" will be done up tight just the centre nut wont be tight but still be screwed on as much as possible.
Thanks buddy!
