oil

had the engine rebuild just before xmas and did a oil change not long ago

ive put gtx magnetex in. and now its drinking oil and blowing alot of it out atfer 3000 rpm

do you think the piston rings have gone or is the oil too thin for the engine
(1600 gsi)

if i changed to a thicker oil would it be ok or has the gtx oil caused damage

please help

How many miles has the engine done, or have the piston rings done.....

couldn't tell ya the top end has had a rebuild the car was fine till i change the oil

well if it was fine until you changed the oil, try a thicker one to confirm the problem
