Help!!!

Hi I am looking for as much help as possible. I have a 2 litre 8v nova, engine is fine, however i am now on my 3rd fuel pump in as many months.

I am putting a 2 litre fuel pump on (external) and it runs fine, then all of a sudden it just cuts out, there is plenty of fuel in, just wont go. I cannot here the fuel pump "buzzing" when I put the ignition on. I am presuming it is the pump because of this..........

Any help, tips, advice ANYTHING WILL DO!! also may be looking to sell it!! Give me a shout please!! Cheers.

1.are you using an efi tank or a carb tank????? the pump can run dry on cornering with a carb tank.....

2. it could be the relay..

3. have you tested the pump on a battery?

4. where are you getting pumps from??

5. have you checked the wiring? my earth strap gave me loads of intermittent trouble till i made up a decent one..

How do i know what tank it is?? It is the standard tamk on a 1.2 k reg? The pumps i have been getting are off here, and ebay etc. The last pump i tested on the battery and it was dead, i havent on this yet as i havent taken it off the car.

tested on the battery, i jope you ran fuel thru it at the same time,

the fuel lubs the pumps,

if it is a std carb tank, it is not going to be good unless you run it almost full of fuel.. an spi tank, which is what it should have, needs an astra mk3 pump in it. but if you are buying used pumps, then that could be the trouble

OK, cool, what car would i get a spi tank from? and i dont suppose you know where i would get a mk3 astra pump from??
