Right i poped into a engine builders down by me today and asked about getting my engine rebored and i will require the size of the piston used in a 1650 rebore people..

its just an oversized piston and nothing special.....i'll have a look in my big boring piston book & let you know in a bit..

dont know the cc, but i think a stock piston you can only get max 1mm oversize. 0.5 or 1mm then its aftermarket

hmm ok i went down to the only engine builder within 30 miles and he said he stays away from performace stuff but would be willing to help me out.

Only thing was he said i would need to find out what size pistons, Etc :(

might have to look furter afield as he wont do porting and polishing or gas flowing

also ask these people for your local stockists.. http://www.elringparts.co.uk/ it will be very useful...

just what are you after with your 1600 engine???????

ie. hp, usage.

then we can help.

with a few simple mods, you can be getting reasonable power, but what can you afford, and what is your experience level. a small block can be rebuilt on your bedroom floor, trust me, i've done it.

just looked up in my great big boring piston book & a 1.00mm overbore gives about 1640cc
