Seeing as a brand new steering rack is only £18.70, Im considering a 2.2/2.5 lock to lock quick rack for the prject.

Does anyone have any experiances with them?

Good/Bad on the roads?

Good on track etc?:thumb:

excellent on track and rallys ...steering is more responsive ...downside i would say is without powersteering while the car is stationary wheel is harder to turn ...

imho you wont "know" you have one fitted*. But they are certainly a benefit

*in that its not like if you sneeze you spin the car, and its only noticeably harder if you are a fanny (or on manly fat ass slicks)

What, where, how, why?

Quickrack in our tarmac rally car has an awful turning circle, but great when moving.

I've done a fair share of jumping between cars with/without quick racks and cant tell the difference in terms of low/high speed turning (bar not needing a blur of arms to get round the rack on a quick item).

I noticed putting wider tyres on my car made more difference than a quick rack on the slim tyres (and no more difference with fat tryes and QR).

I guess its a personal thing lol

I've one on mine one of the better things I bought. It's heavy though when parking but they could also be down to my solid strut tops. Get one you'll never regret it.

I had a quick rack on my daily XE Nova till I broke it and never found it difficult to drive. Definitley enjoyed driving it more with the quick rack.

Also got one on the turbo Nova but that doesn't get driven much.
