still not running well

so far ive put on

new plugs
new leads
new cap
new arm
new points

ive set the engine to tdc using the screwdriver method as i cant be assed taking the plate off to see the chain

i got it started but was still running really rough then it cut out

if i put full choke on it will run but rough and then cut out

any ideas guys, im awaiting my neighbour to come back so i can get my feeler guage to set the points correctly but i used a hacksaw blade just now lol

bad earth check your earth strap on battery and on gearbox give them a good tug

not too hard or you pull the chassis leg apart

all checked with fresh fuel

still running rough, got someone coming to have a look at it today

car was at the garage today and he said its something to do with the carb

thats all i know at the moment

what do you think i should do, take it off and clean it out?
