is this bad/not good?

hi

when the engine is off and i press the break pedal a few times and it gets harder to push then i keep pressing it and it goes back to normal. am i right in thinking my breakes need either new pads/discs or bleading or both?

With engine off?? they'll always do that.
I would check the servo tho and also bleed the brakes-lots.

The other night after i had put my K&N on i set off got to the end of the street and my brakes just didn't work! I pooped em. Got out and gave my servo thingy a wiggle and it hasn't done it since!! :o.

But yeah like pete said they do that when the engine isn't turned on becasue there is no assist from the vacuum.
