I found this out a while back and been meaning to post on here.

Parcel Shelf straps, i know the world doesn't depend on them but I needed a pair to replace my two broken ones. They're not available from Vauxhall, so the search started for a replacement pair.

My first route was other similar age Vauxhalls, bought a pair of Astra Mk2 straps, fitted perfectly, but were too short, so when the tailgate was shut the parcel shelf didn't sit flat.

So it was time for inspiration. A wander round Looms and a non-vauxhall came up trumps.

It saddens me to say, they're from F**d, an Escort MK6. but look OE and do the job perfectly.

Not sure on cost from a Ford dealer though.

lol Ford saves the day! Good find mate.

They'll be buttons from the dealer mate. I'd guess they're close to ending service part supply for the mk6 though.
Still, they'll be in the scrappers with crusty arches for a few years yet. Stock up. lol

Rather use an elastic band than fit Ford bits lol
Early parcel shelves are more sturdy with retracting cord hangers & plastic ball joint cups.
