View Full Version : new yard, no power!
im sub letting a yard from a friend but he has no power running there. He had been using a honda 2.5kv generator for a couple of strip lights and grinders, drills etc, but i want to weld and use a plasma cutter and there is not enough power in the 2.5. What generator will for-fill my needs. needs to be relatively quite because i like to work latelol

Be Prepared To Spend Lots.

best bet is to hire one IMO as you will be paying a fortune to buy a silentish high output generator

What type of yard? Farm yard? if so what i tend to do is use a PTO driven (tractor power take off) gennie....not sure how much power it produces but runs my welder fine (quite large) you can pick them up fairly cheap!
Is there nowhere near that has a supply? Sometimes its worth seeing if the electrical supplier will hook you up. Will be way cheaper than feeding a genny!

no can do, landlord has clearly expressed no electricity, he has his reasons.
