.. Right well ive got my corsa running, but it seems to get the temperature to fast! And over heats if you drive it hard!
The coolant does not seem to be circulating, I can't see and coolant going back into the header tank!

The water pump looked fine when I rebuilt the engine So am guessing it the thermostat...

Any one agree/disagree??

i wouldnt advise driving it till youve got it sorted, youll cook the head probably.

u tried bleeding the air out the system allready ?
does the rad fan cut in at half temp ?
what engine is it ?

2 wires direct from battery to the fan first to see if that works.

could be the fan switch on the rad too

if the fan cuts in then its gettin up to temperature in the rad, cos thats where the sensor is so probably not the thermostat. but i thought you just had a bit of wire for the fan? pop the stat in the kettle and check it works.

i know on the carb models its dead easy, theres a temp. sender on the inlet manifold that u slacken off and air bubbles up out of there till u see fluid.

i dont think injection models have the same setup tho, im not familiar with them enough to help :wall:

it might sound a bit bodge, but u could always try slackening a few of the jubilee clips on the hoses to see if any air bubbles come out before fluid. id only attempt this while its cold running tho, you might scould yourself otherwise.

wait for someone else with injection knowledge to reply before u try that one lol

The rad is getting hot, one side is cooler but it should be! The fan works, it just over heats, ive just got a stat and w/pump for her as am not ****ing about just changing the one.
Stats not the easiest job any way as theres a cam belt in the way and i dont think you can get it off with out

lol bleeding a nova is easy, the only thing you need to undo is the expansion tank cap lol

Its a C14se Corsa, I can't see it being an air lock tho, I never had any trouble with the last c14se engined corsa I had
