Dont need rear disks.

For fast road use id say yeah 256 will be fine.

I wouldnt want 256 on a track car though, not that you'll be doing trackdays with a v6 :p

yes, but they are not brilliant, a set of 288's drilled out will stop you no problem, its also a better match with the rear disc set up.

Just ran standard drums and 256mm valver brakes on the front and it was more than capable of stopping the thing whilst hammering down a back road! Maybe not enough for some folks and depends what kind of driving your gonna be doing but it done the job for us :thumb:

Im not saying you wont go through a few sets then lol
Theres no disputing the fact that they did take a lot of punishement and often had to repaint the rear drums cos the paint burnt off but all in all they kept us on the road :d

How?

If they stop a 150hp Cally with no problems, without driving with your foot on the brake pedal i dont see how you could!!!!!

Lee ran 256 black diamond discs and mintex pads on his tb'd track car iirc. had no probs at all.

Crap discs/pads probably :p

256s with decent discs/pads will be fine. I have 284mm and V6 calipers and they're quite harsh lol

288 brakes are awesome! Stop like f**k!!!!

The ONLY downside to them is the weight.

Wouldn't have said they were THAT much heavier than 256 calipers? I don't remember mine being all that much more
