Well after getting out bid on a few Nova's ive decided to go for the next best thing ive bought a Cav. Got delivered to my house this morning. heres the spec-

Cav Saloon
1.6 Injection
alloy Wheels

MOT- Feb 2011
Tax- End June 2010

Great Car needs a few bits sorting- needs rust spots sorting, and ideally a new drivers door as someone broke into it by ripping the door back. anyway pics below and any comments/ideas welcome

ye thats nice, the guy who i bought it off has just had it motd and taxed for 6 months he even drove it to drop it off for me. ye got the parking sensors ha ha. was thinking either gsi or sri rep.

very nice, what kind of price would i expect to pay for a full gsi kit, skirts door moulds, full boot with spoiler etc etc

Contact Brettski on here, I'm going with him to Stafford tomorrow evening to collect some bits off a GSI and apparently the guy is breaking the full car

is it a black one by any chance? i am watching his full gsi kit on ebay, tamworth? just dont know what it will go for. still few days left on it yet.

will go on there shortly.
plans for tomorrow- providing its warm and dry

rip out all interior to valet, have a nosey around in the boot and floors, possibly do rocker cover gasket as needs new one, and just a general tidy up and start rubbing down some rust spots. pictures to follow tomorrow...

Small Update For Today- Ive stripped out the seats to clean them which they really really needed doing here is a few pics so far, hopefully will be abit nicer tomorrow to get some more done...

Another little update not alot really, new exhaust fitted really like it now its on doesnt sound too bad. and re fitted all seats after giving the carpet a quick going over will need doing again but needed the seats out the house. now found i need a oil breather pipe as its burst so a trip to the scrappy is needed anyways heres a few pics for now, As Always Comments/Ideas Are All Welcome

Mate, that interiors come up really well!

Do my leather corsa interior sometime for me? im talking carpets, headlining leather treatment the lot! lol

Ayee ill be in touch once its all been re-painted dude, a week of being in and out of the bodyshop hasnt half made the carpet manky lol :thumb:

ha ha not surprised, you aint got and sri side skirts for a cav have you? or a nice spoiler than would fit? what you think of the exhaust?

Exhaust looks good! managed to find one quick lol

I DID have a sri spoiler form a cavvy hatch, but im allmost certain i threw it out afew months back when we had the fire :(

:( no worries do you know if mally has got any in at the mo around the novas? ive got nip up there one day this week for oil breather pipe so might just see if he got anything decent. on the list now is-

Shouldve got a cal earlier last year, im sure he had a gold GSI kitted Cav from our place in there :(

I know hes got Cavaliers yeah, but what condition the doors are in is a mystery!

Suspension-wise, he doesnt get many modified cavaliers in, so i can safely say he wont have a kit for it

Ill be going up for the hose one day this week so will have a look around. i wouldnt buy suspension from scrappy just incase only off someone who can tell me its perfect or little use. looking on ebay at the mo for some.
More progress to come over next few days i hope, out with baby tomorrow first day out to blue planet aquarium in chester so should be fun. working wednesday until 2pm so may nip in on way home...

No pictures for today but removed drivers side bump strips, the stripes going down the drivers side, glue from badges on the boot and the vauxhall badge on the boot aswel and found the two holes that hold it on.. so will ave to fill the little holes and touch them up. more progress to come tomorrow after work hopefully...

well not done any updates in a while due to it not being so nice and other things taking priority, finally managed to drop the front, still need to do rocker cover gasket and providing it stays dry over the weekend will do it then, got some new ht leads on there way to me, also may be collecting a full SRI interior today and a set of skirts, just a few pics to keep the thread going-
