take the scale 4, because you can go to college and get a decent qualification, then move onto scale 5 or so1(i work for the local government we go 1-5 then so1-2 then p1-3[about90kp.a])

i'vd thought about this, then just asked my manager and she snt me to college 1 afternoon a week anyhow, but get qualifications, they mean so much these days

Well the course i want to do at college is nothing to do with the work i do now my dream job is to be a horse riding instructor or summit like that, thats what this course is for.

I have phoned the college this morning and asked about the part time basis what hrs etc it would be so i hope they get back in touch with me soon as the closing date for applications is friday

my mum does that for a livin, its pretty good money.

it dosn't matter what the course is coz you only work in the mornings so what you do in the afternoon is nuffin to do with work.

go for it, you won't regret it in the end coz you'll be doin a job you really wanna do.

do college and get her riding qualifications.

being an instructor pays well if yer in the right area.

My wife wants to do that eventually. Needs AI (?) and loads of other bits apparantly...

Yeah i have heard from load of horsey people you need an AI dont actually know what it is like but the course i was thinking about doing is a diploma which at the end of you would be qualified to be a stable manager riding instructor or head groom both in the uk and internationally.

I think i have decided to not go with this idea as i have looked into it more and it doesnt pay quite as well as the job i have at the minute and the other job would be alot better money wise, even tho the work will be shit

linz if you after as much money as possible then deep down you know which one to go for
it's blunt but that's how it is

Or, i could pimp you.

Then you would get to ride and get paid for it. But you won't get to keep the money (i will give you somewhere to live though). And it won't be horses you'd be riding.

It doesn't really matter Linz. You can always do the horse riding course another time. But you definitely should do it one time or another.

Follow your dreams.

Qualifixcations dont mean much, i have qualifications that could mean i only need to work one day a week.

But

I choose to work in a warehouse and earn sh*te money as the levels of stress arent there, i would rather have a happy life than be tearing my hair out.

But for the purpose you want the qualifications it is worth it, but then again you are only young and have fooking years to choose what you want to do. You may not even know your final career even exsists yet.

Some of the jobs i have done have brought me into contact with other jobs and i think fook me people actually get paid that much for doing that i would do it for half!

Linz,
Wot ever u do in your life DO NOT work with horses at all. I worked with them after i left school and i was workin 6 days a week, 40 hours per week for ?80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could justa bout afford to keep my horse. I didn't have enough time to ride Tara so I walked out. It was great in the summer but in the Winter it was hell. Unless u become a grand prix dressage instructure, psychologist/behaviourist etc then i wouldn't bother. Its a waste of time. Let other ppl shovel shit. Get a well paid job then u can get your own. We can go out hacking together :)

Well if i did that qualification chez i would be a qualifyed riding instructor, stable manager so i could tell people how to shovel shit lol or a head groom in the uk and abroad.

I suppose if i get this other job i may get another horse for myself and wont have to go to college just thats what i really wanted to do when i left school.

I got offered a job working with stallions on a yard not far from where i live working 7 till 1 everyday for ?170 per week which is good for that sort of work and you train and event them and if the owners let ya you can hunt too. I thought it wasnt worth leaving my job over
