belts are either round tooth or square(ish) you need to have a look mate.

square tooth pulley was only on 1.3

1.2spi, 1.4 and 1.6 all had round tooth setup.

Pretty sure my motor factors can get round and square tooth belts for an E16SE, fairly sure I have seen an E16SE in a project thread on here with square teeth too?

Some of the 1.6 engines in astra e.t.c. has square teeth, didnt think any nova did.

Possibly an astra conversion from him and slightly odd listings in the motorfactors, I thought astras were C16SE only though.

might be ok, i heard somewhere that a round tooth belt can run on a square toothed pulley allright, but vice-versa square on round wont work. personally i wouldnt risk it tho, keep it all round or all square to be safe, u dont want the belt coming off and wrecking your engine.

Would make sense if the round belt is the same profile as square with rounded corners, personally i'd prefer all of the teeth to be in direct contact though lol
