Hi everyone, was linked here by bmw156 . I hope you don't all think I've ruined it, but I've made it for myself so I don't care hehe

Started standard, bought for £150 as a runaround whilst my mini was being fixed, its alot less clean than it looks in the pics:

now my favourite styles are retro, shakotan and bosozoku, so thats the direction and influence behind the car...

now I'm not a fan of the forced ratlook that seems to be popular now, so I tried to recreate a natural faded patina look, made easier by the fact I'd been using the bonnet to test paint

I like the wheels and tyres. i like the car but i think the stuff on the roof is all too much it ruins it, i like it when they are tidy and simple, you can find some nice examples of sh!t looking cars

Another member fairly local to me and a couple of other members which is nice to see. I'm from High Wycombe.

Love the car, although I personally think it would look better with a minter paint job and no roof rack. However, its good that your doing your own thing instead of the boring GSI/GTE with speedlines (yawn!)

Its an ultra slammed 5 door saloon on mini wheels similar to count vaux alots, with a roof rack and some dodgey paint work and a random skull stencilled on one side of the bonnet. Your just going to have to use your imagination unfortunately. Or I can try a dodgey photoshop for you (read as a pathertic attempt at drawing using ms paint)

BTW OP you need a bigger cooler than that with some thick pipe for a bosu look IMO. I may do the same to my Volvo. Done a few shops ages ago and I think it would suit, but more of a subtle 'bosu' style. Which I assume you're no fan of. lol

Not really a fan of the full on ones though, 3 foot long splitters and what-not! glad some of you like it, but as I said previously i'm not particularly bothered if you don't! There are some new pics up on RR now, thinking on taking off the stickers tbh. It drives really well surprisingly since the slamming, no bounce and not too harsh, still no where as good as the mini though :D

I'm quite partial to the rat/euro look, doesn't look ott bad either. As said, slam it on it's ass, you can get away with it, with those arches :)

the oil cooler was from a turbo vauxhall van in a scrapyard, i've been pulled over once - the police officer woman thought I wasn't insured to drive the car as she thought I was a girl when driving behind (long hair xD) and then asked what the oil cooler was and let me on my way :cool:

try and buy anything nova related in Northern Ireland and your in for a shock! you gave £150 for your car to start with which makes it a bargan. There is a rally series over here which is only for Novas, with junior drivers in 1200cc cars. makes them very sought after, in any condition for spares. I remember buying patern wings 2 to 3 years ago for £13 plus vat new. The cheapest price now is £55 plus vat. suppliers have cottoned on and inflated the price on everything. I have a couple of spare cars that I paid a premium for and I am tortured by people to sell them.

Quite like the look of this, nice to see the roof rack has gone :) did the mini wheels fit straight on or you got adaptor plates for them as i have a full set of brand new ultralites which i think would look good on mine :D.

front wheels are 13x8 Compomotive SSR Mesh, and mini wheels fit straight onto Novas, as long as they're at least 13" diameter. The roof rack was on the old pictures not to be on the car but to save space in my garage, and the car isn't meant to be ratlook, it's just tatty! I'm not a great fan or restoring everything to factory, if it has some battle scars and a bit of rust and faded paint it tells a story. I like to have a rough and ready car to enjoy rather than a shiny trailer queen any day ;)
Saying that, if I had more money I'd definitely want an immaculate 2 door 'loon with a turbo'd 1.6 too

I like it mate give me that over speedlines and all the other common things that have been around for years any day! Different is always good have abit of imagination with your car and enjoy just messing about with it! It isn't going to be a show winner but Its not about that it's about having fun! I tip my hat to you for having the balls to be different! And it isn't killed could be restorable by the looks of it if you wanted to but I like it how it is!
