Engine is a 20SEH.
Problem is that the car feels like it's holding back. You can feel it pull, let go, pull, let go for split second but it's continuous. We changed dizzy, rotor, leads, sparks which helped makes things slightly smoother but it's still there.
Today I was examining the engine whilst it was running and I could see sparks going off next to the dizzy screws. I was wearing thick gloves and when I touched the external flat face of the dizzy I could feel the spark/voltage and it was actually making my hand go numb.
I have encountered this problem of sparking at the dizzy screw but that was my fault many moons ago as I had over tightened the screws on the dizzy, cracked it and the metal screw sleeve was touching the engine. And coz of that ended up making the car run real rough. I checked the dizzy today and it's not cracked (only 3 weeks old anyway).
Any ideas what's happening? I know this isn't normal but duno why it's sparking.
