just rebuilt my 1.3 and i need a new oil pump will one off a 1.4 fit and work on my car as my mate has a brand new one he says i can have

The pump drives shapes are different iirc. Saying that I had a 1300 with a 1400 crank it in once and the oil pump "fitted", may be worth offering it up to see.

1400 pump has the extra mount for the cambelt tensioner, 1300 pump doesnt from what i can remember. So should work the way you want to but not the other way around
