i got a 1.2 nova
may be gettin a 5dr 1.2 with its paintwork in terrible condition for free
and i was just wondering...
is it more cost effective to get a LET 2.0 fitted or buy a nova with one already fitted ?

forgive my ignorance but what is LET?
Are you on about a 2litre engine?

thx for that mike..
(i think he was tanking about the echo tech been rubbish)
m8 its probably best to 'work up through the ranks' rather than jump from a 1.2 with 55bhp to about 155+
how about going with the GTE/GSI engine/box they seem to filter through at ?100 often enough?

well i guesstimate my nova to be about 60bhp with my drilled air box and pecco backbox... i was neck and neck with a 60bhp corsa D the other day

also, id rather fit a 1.6 16v than a 1.6 8v
8v engines drink far far too much fuel at high revs compared to 16v
yeah fair enough, the 16v's are still a pricey engine to get as well
its up to you get the 1600 16v, then run it and save, save, and keep saving then add some TB's and youre in :)

mate bought a cav 2ltr 8v sri, with 17 inch alloys, no tyres, bit scuffed ?50
after helping fitting it and being out in it it seems a doddle to do and everything is on the cav.

can the 2.0 8v get 0-60 in 5-7 secs?
can it get the car past 120mph?

:? I don't know about that. had both and didn't notice (and both were standard)
