Which type of gearbox is fitted to a 1988 gte and what type has to be used for an xe conversion?

f13/f15 for the gte i think, and f20 minimum ? for the xe

Anyone??????
I live in Jersey and trying to do an XE conversion over here with limited parts I can get hold of a calibra 4x4 box is this the same ratios etc or are there any mods to do???

either a f16 or f20 box mate, f28 is no use on a standard xe

Some F20's were 4x4 iirc... just take the gay transfer box off etc

Is there a list anwhere of which boxes are fitted to what car type etc??

And is the f16 & f20 fitted just to the astra??

hi mate yes as above you will need a f16 or f20. f16s were fitted to astras below 2.0 i believe 1800 etc, f20s come on cavaliers calibras and 2.0 astras
