today i took the vinyl off the pillow post as you lot will know with the years its worn in places.but ive got plans on having it painted back on.but what do you lot think should i put it back or leave it with out?:roll:
with out would look ok but looks abit plan

Vinyl. wonky though as seen. It didn't matter as the bump strips were going back on. lol
It wouldn't have had any put back at all but the sill-arch was a bit crusty so I wanted to cover it. lol

that link is spot on could be very useful as im finding it hard to get the proper grey to match the vinyl.would this be cheaper than having a paint shop paint it on?
paint it on is ok if you can get the paint mixed with a texture to it.
if it was me id just buy that vinyl, i have a tailgate vinyl from the same chap, VERY good quality and will look original and probably be cheaper than the paint.

yes i think you might be right on that one and will make my paint bill cheaper when have all the red done. do you know what colour could be used to paint my bumpers to get them near the same colour as the vinyl.there in rover hurricane grey at the min but people are saying go a bit darker

Paint it. I had my B pillars done years ago. Have a search I've posted a close up before (not whoring again lol). Looks identical to the original vinyl colour and texture.

Good luck finding the blue/grey colour used on the Mk2
:thumb: Think Ade has exhausted every supplier trying to find the right colour with no luck, unless of course we order a custom roll for serious ££££

paint it and also get the colour off him, im sure there will be alot of members interested in paint haha will do i think because if rust started at back of the vinyl i would have to take it off but if i paint it can be rubbed down and just painted again.he did say to me on the phone what colour it was called but forgot
