Just bought this nova for £800 notes for something to do on the side, it started life as a 1.0 and now its a 1.6 8v, the overall shell isnt to bad with only minor rust that ive found so far, paintwork isnt the greatest but thats going to be sorted anyway.

rough plans are:
strip the interior and engine
strengthen shell and patch up any holes I may find
fit cage
full bare shell respray and undersealed.
new suspension
new brakes
new wheels and tyres
polycarb windows
not sure what engine to go for yet??

as you can see ive already stripped interior and today a lad off here was kind enough to deliver me his 6 point safety devices roll cage which will be going in when its ready.

no I found it on pistonheads, I think he might of been on this site at somepoint though.
im really not sure which way to go with the engine? plan was maybe a v6 but im just not going to be able to fling it round a track, the only thing that puts me off the xe is how common they are.

You know what they say right??

If it's common, or popular, theres usually a good reason for it..

The amount of small block lovers who have switch over to big in the last two years say's it all really.

Yeh thats very true mate, dont know if to go let or not or spend the cash on building a decent xe.

The money you could waste on a let would be enough for good spec xe on TB's mate. Just IMO.

Cheers Tom, I knew you would like it. just cant wait to get the engine build going now.

scott: yeh its a good base and in the long run its saved me no end of time and money, plus ive got my white one to get the standard uncut GSi bumpers off.
