I've tried my best with my Mk2 Nova but it's not a patch on when it just used to sit in the garage but I've had fun with it :thumb:

Just needs some 60mm rear springs mate ;)

When I clean my car I've used in the past TCut, AG Super Resin Polish, AG Extra Gloss Protection, Megs Carnuba Wax just to get it really clean and shiney

A mixture of products there and all done by hand - Gives a superior shine as well and paint protection :)

i have no heart doing it in this cr**py weather anyway but i do enjoy it in the summer
it hasnt been properly polished since its respray at halloween shes long overdue

Mine hasn't been polished or waxed in a few months now but it's been kept very very clean inside and out and the wax/sealant is still on the paintwork :)

I'd maybe go for a 'full' detail once a month

so i got the sideskirts off, and painted the boot grab handle,the mirrors and the petrol cap
should get the skirts painted tomorrow, i might get the spoiler and door handles but probably not:roll: . will get pics up when all is finished, happy days:thumb:

hey all
i havent updated in a while as there is nothing to update about as i have been spending all my time on my new daily project and studying for my junior cert:cry:
The nova is lying up beside my dads garage covered up of course;) .
so today i was down and had a good look at her i forgot what she looked likelol . My birthday is at the end of march so should get some monies to invest into her:). I will get some pics up next week when im down again.

also can people post pics of some red novas with black slabs

i had no exams today so had the day off, i spent two hours flatting and buffing the bonnet to try and make it smooth and shiney its not a nice job:(
it looked okay but its glarey and has a rough surface

then i went mad with a cheap polisher thing i found, flatted,2 coats of tcut,2 of autoglym,2 of turtle wax and then waxed by hand with carnuba wax. no pics though:wtf: came up nice and smooth but could be shinier.
fitted the left sideskirt and couldnt resist trying the new alloy on even though its got a tractor tyrelol ;) a teaser pic

Loving the car mate, it looks really well in the pics, all ways good to see a shiney red nova, which is all the same shade of red, and not panels painted here and there lol

so the plan now is to use the nova as a daily for when i turn 17,finish the starlet sell that and hopefully that will pay the insurance on the nova;) .
simples. but knowing me ill find some way off making a balls of itlol
yesterday i got the nova back to the house as i missed it:( and didnt really get a chance to do anything on it today though:cry: . There is a classis car run on the 27th and my dad said we could enter the nova in that,which means iv got to pull my finger out, and collect alloys, refurb in black along with skirts and spoiler etc, completely flat and polish her and a complete detail and a few other bits:roll: :wtf:

hey all
yesterdays and todays progress
i flatted and polished the bootlid and both rear quarters,im not 100% happy with them though:( .Got a lower profile tyre on the alloy and also half tinted the rear lights
i then stood back and hated the way it sat so i got some standard springs and cut them, held them in with thick cable ties, pikey style;)

i decided that was to low on shet springs so i had some heavier vw golf rear springs so cut them but not as short, they are also narrower so sit better

Sits about the same as mine at the back and that's -40mm GMAX Nova SRi springs I have in the back...But I know of a Nova on -60mm GMAX springs that sits a wee bit higher than mine

had a go at my arches to decide on a colour,they were done in waxoyl and then painted this shade of silver

little update,i turned 16 wednesday:cool: so i bought them alloys and refurbed them in silver, will get the tyres on hopefully monday if not tuesday and i also redone the back underneath and arches in bitumin, in the summer hols ill do the whole underside, im also getting me a mopedlol . that is all

*treated under the bumpers and arches with bitumen
*fitted 6x9s in rear shelf
*painted carpets red
*a full detail that took three days
*painted mirror backings
*polished bonnet stand thingy
*made some rear inside quarter panels to hold speakers
*bought some rubber mats
*fitted some chavvy h4 bulbs
*bought a new battery
its all silly little things but hey its something

well tbh i never said i was happy with it but i was 15 when i done it and it was my first whole car
the orange peel is on the doors and wings because i flat and polished it by hand an was sick of so left them bits lol i know its not very sensible but looks better in person its nowhere near that bad
i will be fixing the mistakes in the summer hols

so had a spin in the nova yesterday eves on private property after resetting the tappets, made quite the difference but i ended up breaking the front drivers spring:mad: i did get them secondhand of a mate and they weher quite old but i thought they would last longer than 3 days
