66,000 miles
V5 Present
MOT til 22nd March 2010
Taxed til end June 2010Body: Body has seen better days, has been welded in various places, underbody is good, had sills and undersealed at some point, some rot above backbox in boot, had new rear arches at some point but is a bodge job at best! Some rust around front suspension struts, nothing too major, bottom of the doors are non-existant in all honesty.

Engine / Gearbox: Engine head gasket just gone, ran great before, started first time everytime. Only modification is a K&N bolt-on air filter.Gearbox and clutch in good condition, very smooth, no trouble selecting gears.

Brakes / Tyres: New (remanufactered) front brake calipers (still have over a year warranty). Original SR 14" steelies with new front tyres last year only covered 5000 miles, rear tyres both have good tread. Also have 3 centre caps for the wheels.

Interior: Good condition overall, sunvisor mirrors / lights, front and rear ashtray are missing. The handle on the glovebox snapped so the front panel has been taken off, gear stick gaitor taken off as it split. Some wear on driver's seat bolster (no rip), cigarette burn on passenger seat other than that as you'd expect.

Generally a great little car, mostly used to get me to and from work on a day-to-day basis but don't really have the time to fix it. Would be an easy project for someone with mechanical know-how.

The last MOT the car needed brake calipers, front tyres, a CV joint gaitor and some welding on the front offside suspension cross-member which was about the size of a 10p.

I have been as honest as I can, any info or more pictures please PM me or email me on craigb15@hotmail.com, if emailing please include your PNG username :-)

Looking for £350 ONO, I'm 5 mins from junction 21 of the M1 motorway.

Car must be towed or trailored away, in it's current condition I cannot offer a test drive i'm afraid.

Cheers, Craig.

PM's replied.

I wouldn't recommend relying on the AA to get you home Ian :P

I'm located not far from Narborough in Leicester.

Forgot to mention, the car is a sunroof model, has electric windows and central locking. All electrics work fine too!

I'm a bit in 2 minds whether to still sell, when I say £350 ONO I mean the minimum I would accept is £300 as I can't afford to sell it for any less.

I have started to take the engine to bits and I'm gonna get the car running again... I might sell it then or run the car for a little longer and put a new MOT on it.

So anyone interested please watch this space! :-)

Is there any rot in the normal places, like rear chassis legs, rear suspension spring cups on chassis, boot corners, and battery tray, engine bay seams?
rear arches, front wings? all the normal places the rot basically! lol

Any idea who carried out the nasty repair jobs on it?

Looks like there is allot of rot in it mate, TBH that shell going on them pics is well past it, as im sure it's worse where you cant see it, Shame.

Best bet is to brake it for parts mate, sell the interior if it's mint, and the engine, then your boot bonnet etc.

i've not got any idea who did the 'repairs' on it... came with no history except the previous MOT.

the shell isn't brilliant but it only needed one bit of welding for the last MOT and i do go to a legitimate testing station.

i think in the state it's in and once i've rebuilt the engine it wud be a good donor car and that's about it :P
