1.9 150 is the best of the derv engines, performance and ecconomy, higher resale value but it comes down to budget at end of the day

1.7s are ok but i would go for the 1.9 8v as there less problematic than the 16v!

The 1.9 can be mapped to 200 according to Total Vauxall

plug and play box from the like of andy at DTUK will easy see you on your way to 200 bhp on a 150.

think you will strugle to get a decent 150 on that budget 5drs have been out longer than 3drs and seem to be generaly cheaper, though did see this earlier but looks too cheap to me 4k for an 08 on 20k is very cheap

Sport hatch (3dr) has a far higher resale value so 5 door is your best hope for one. I cant remember seeing a 5dr 150 though for £6k

SRI is available as

1.7 cdti 100ps
1.9 cdti 120ps and 150 ps

150/160 i think

Id say about 160-170 with a tuning box 1.7 100ps goes to about 120 or 130 i think.

Worth considering a Vectra 150 sri? been around a little longer so more choice and cheeper

I have a 1.7TDi sportshatch on a 56plate and i think its fantastic, really get good miles per gallon and personnely its better than the 1.9TDi, miles per gallon is more too. I do alot of motorway driving and cant fault it.

I drive both a 1.7 and a 1.9 CDTi, the 1.7 has better mpg but with only 100bhp compared to 150 bhp its a pretty dull drive. The 1.9 CDTi 150 does have its problems buts it is the most popular model so you are going to hear more stories.
