My first one, K reg SR, early 2004 ish

Was stolen & recovered stripped. Trip to body shop later...

Whilst that^ was being done in the body shop & worked on i picked up this little number. 1.6 SRi with B+ head & Piper cam, mongoose exhaust system etc etc

Changed the engine in the red one to a Bowyer built Super 1400 motor. Then mid 2005 IIRC sold the black one, kept the red. Ended up twisting the K reg shell & tearing the bay seams apart then blew the engine.

Reshelled it an built this.

Which also got stolen, stripped & recovered September 2007. Whilst putting it back together, i had the epic "van of death" for a bit :)

Then stripped & scrapped the van, stripped & sold the white shell, an now no longer own a Nova :)

Also had a couple of Cat C breakers in between, couple of SRi's & that.

1st nova was a 1.0 swing on a b reg in 1999 then i got a 1.3 sr in red on a e reg in 2000 but have no pics!

Thankfully I sacked Novas off after the saloon and got a proper car. Then had a relapse with the blue saloon. In fact WTF was I thinking. Why the hell did I buy another nova? Seriously? Why? Why didn't I buy a 106 GTi or Glanza V like I was going to? Fcuks sake. Who wants to buy a 3.0 V6 nova saloon lol

Ive had a fair few in my time so if your from up this way theres a good chance that you'll have seen them. At one point there was about 4 or 5 of my old ones kicking about dunfermline :roll:

When i sold one of my Silk Violet Gsi's back in 2003 i left my J16NOV plate on it. A year or so later the bug got me again and i wished i had kept the plate:cry:

1st one, a 1983 1.2L in mostly Carnelian Red. I say mostly because some of it had been resprayed in Calypso Red (very close but not quite!)

Two Tone body, Snow-Plough front (from an Opel Corsa-A GT for which I've still got the opel badge which fits the original MK1 Grill - how rare must that be???)

Erm, the less said about the interiour the better I think.....erm, yeh, that it Wallnut on the doors! (from a Senator) Oh, and a triple-tone dash! Loving the Brown! Retro cool now though! Plaid SR seats didn't match but I didn't care!

Snow-plough, custom grill, fog lights cut into the lower valance, tilt and slide sunroof from a Proton (over top of roof) etc.

Digi dash, footwell lights, pedals way too close together lol I even got the fabric from the back seats of another Antibes to re-trim the SR front seats. I only ever mocked it up like in the pic though as I sold it before I got that far, and regretted it ever since :-(

JP Exhaust modded to fit that had been on Antibes, Astra GSi Fans, lowered, nothing much done to this one as turned out to be a rotten bucket of rust. WISH I'D NEVER SOLD THE ANTIBES!

After a few years away from Novas (MK2 Cav SRi and Audi 80 Sport in between), I got my current GSi:

Bilstein suspension, 17's in the pics, but 15" Calibra alloys at the mo, Pipercross, otherwise standard. Been off the road for 4 years now, planning on a full strip down restoration.

Despite also currently owning a Calibra, still having the Audi and also a MK4 Astra, the Nova remains. Oh, and I've had a Vectra CDX V6 in between too.

Yeh, that's the one. I'venot updated novabug for ages.....it's still up and running and I just get the time these days to update it. Once I start the restoration on my GSi, I'll make a full feature of it on there and re-design the whole site!
