Is motorbike oil ok for a car engine?

Engine has nowt in and needs to move tomorrow lol

urm what does it say on it? if its 10w 40 it will be fine in an 8v, i used to run one on tractor oil lol

lols. Aye 10w 40. Unsure what it says atm as it's in the garage. Part synth though. Is for an 8v. :)

my 1600 is running in on 15 40 mineral tractor oil :P does the job lol

Bike oil has a slight differance in as bikes use a wet clutch but should be fine to use as you can use car oil in bikes

come on, what this lot don't realise is that tractors are really complicated these days, our john deeres with 500 hr service intervals are on some serious spec stuff that i'd never dare stick in my nova. I have a 205lt of scania lorry oil that is about right though.

I once tried my b reg on case ih 15w40 and got serious valve bounce.... I drained it out (including the lifters) and filled it with duckhams 15w40 and it worked way better
