Starter sticking on when running ?

Just changed the headgasket on my mates corsa and when we start the car the starter keeps turning until you turn the car off, i dont think its the ignition switch as it goes off when you turn the engine off and leave the ignition on.

I cant see what can have happened is it just coincidence?
Can you change the the soleniod or is it a complete starter swap? :confused:

Had this with my corsa diesel years ago

A clout with a hammer on the solenoid cured it!

lol will try it tommorow then but if it doesnt work its a starter swap :(

Yeah could mean that - its only the solenoid sticking so 99% if you get a good hit on it then your cured
