OK so if you have seen Plasma Dials for sale from autotint? (http://www.autotintdesign.com/plazma%20dials/Nova/Nova.htm)

Here's how to fit them into the dial housing, i did this to set of SRi dials.

Tools needed: junior hack saw, sharp Stanley knife, some side cutters/pin pullers (to cut with)

First off start with any of the dials by un bolting them from the back.

I started with the speedo.

Using side cutters, or some pin pullers with a sharp edge on them you cut two slots the correct size for the connector on the dial edge, then this bent over out the way *note you can file it so it's not sharp*

This basic presider is carried out on all of the dials, pre place them to determine on ware to cut the edge first.

They will with some guidance slide over the needles without removal of the needle, i used a small amount of supper glue to fix them in place.

http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/903/dscf0139small.jpg

Now this is the part ware you need to cut slots into the housing for the wires, easy as pie with a knife and hack saw.

The last tricky thing is the hole to allow for the plug and lead to pass through for the rev counter.

Now i temporarily tapped the wires under neath, you can figure out a way to fix them under the unit.

Re connect the wires

Test with a 9.6v battery, but they will glow brighter with 12volt.

The back fascia will cover any wires/cutouts you have made, you wont be able to tell there any different from white dial front till there illuminated.

Any questions just ask.

just a question i dont think has been answered, are these then wired into a switch which you can turn on when ever, or wired into the ignition?

great job though

The plasma dials come with there own color selector to switch from blue to green, and a dimmer dial, you just wire them into your headlight switch so they come on just as the normal back lights do on your dash.

What you see is what you get, though they might be able to be cut to fit the 6 dials, but if not i would suggest to fit white dial face's too the oil/bat dials.

If your referring to the Dials, well on SRi set's you have just a warning light, no actual needle.

Alright Scott, how blue do they go, Could you just get bright white or is this not an option, the green colour puts me off..

No white as far as i know, well not the kit i have fitted, though they may do one now, as for the the colors, the blue is very vivid, and the Green is like the indigo you get on a watch face.

Both very bright...

Make some, or convert some dial faces of some Corsa ones and use white LED's that could work?
