can u re-use the crank bolt that holds the cambelt and alternator belt pulleys on ? (back in with threadlock obviously) or is it a compulsory replace job ?
and any idea how tight its meant to be on a 12ST ?

I normally just do it up with an air gun untill its tight lol i dont use thread lock though.

You can re use it. I did mine up F***ing tight! I think I locked the engine and used a breaker bar, but it was a couple of years ago now.
yes, use loctite, yes it goes on heffing tight. stick the car in top gear with the h/brake on & then tighten it up

I always do mine up with my mates snap on impact gun until the socket stops moving! Trust me thats tight enough! Lol

nope, thats too tight.
it should be 40 lb/ft with loctite
