With the wheel off you can move my front discs about by about 10mil each way lol lol

Yoiks :wtf:

Mine fit bang on centre, tight as a nuns whatsit.

Adam

It will depend on how much you opened the holes up...

But yeah, mine are loose with the wheel bolted up. The wheel bolts hold the disc fine tho, it isnt a problem....
And theyve seen a fair few 100+mph stops.... lol

Dont get any vibration or anything.

Yours cant be Fiat disk's then Jack, as mine move about by around 3mm, but if located with a grub screw and then the wheel paced on and bolted there fine.

Mazz what calipers you suing?

Scott

His are fiat discs, i can remember him saying about opening the holes up.
It will just be down to how much you open to holes up to how much "slack" you get

Are the Meriva ones 4x100?

Scott, as Ad says it depends how much you drill them out - the centre bore is off but I drilled out the holes by 1mm each (14mm I think) and they're held in centrally and tight. The only annoyance is trying to line them up when bolting everything back on lol

Ive never seen these Meriva discs, anywhere!
All the ones ive seen are small, or 5stud

I had that problem too, but then i found a few grub screws that fitted the small locater hole, so now mine are secured on before fitting the wheel, as before i had the PINTA experience of them going all over the place while fitting the wheels on.

This is out of the v2 2009 Vauxhall Trade club.
I'm guessing the 280mm Meriva discs are the turbo/vxr ones?

I did find some on ebay once, as i was looking to ditch my Fiats (if you remember i made a thread when i had all them issues with them) And some one pointed me toward ebay, ware i found some 280mm 4 stud's, these will 100% perfect fit.

I'll go look see if i can find them again.

Humm you would have to ask the seller, but cant see why these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Meriva-280mm-4-stud-Drilled-Grooved-Brake-Discs-Front_W0QQitemZ290351211151QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_C arsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item439a47e28f) wouldn't work, that on my first search.

Adam
16-01-10, 10:43 AM
Yeah they look like the ones.

Ive had a quick look on there and cant find any normal/oe 4stud 280 discs, which i what i remember searching for a while back.

scott.parker
16-01-10, 10:48 AM
I have found some before, best bet is to use goggle, or find a seller who sells brake's, then search there shop, as you find lots more that way.

EDIT: Im sure if you go to a local motor factors place they can sell a Delphi/after market pair to you for about £40

meriva opc (vxr for you) are 4stud, and you need spigot rings for them.

the dealer has them, or atleast, my vaux dealer gave me a set of them when ordering the meriva disks.

Jack
16-01-10, 12:35 PM
Nope, Meriva VXR is 5 stud. Well it is over here anyway lol

The 1.3CDTi, some 1.7CDTi's and 1.6 and 1.8 with ATE calipers (not the Lucas ones) are 280x25mm 4 stud and have a 60mm centre bore so will not require spiggot rings. Fiat discs are 4mm larger though.

scott.parker
16-01-10, 01:51 PM
I would rather loose 4mm and gain the perfect fit, and thats what i will replace mine with.
