Get onto ebay, wrongful description/misleading advertising, if it were advertised as fake then you wouldnt have bought it, therefore you have been conned to a degree!

Well it was an auction, that i asked how much he would sell for.
He then sent me a price, which i agreed on, and he invoiced me thru paypal.
I didnt win it via ebay if you get me.

Ive already emailed him this

Hello Daniel,

You may be able to pull the wool over other unsuspecting eBayers. But not mine.

The items I have recieved are blatantly not Genuine, or even Authentic, as your listing states!

If I do not recieve a full refund, including my postage costs, I will be contacting eBay to report you, and also the Anti-Counterfeit Team at Greater Manchester police.

This is totally unacceptable.

go to the police with the facts all laid out on a nice sheet of paper & make a statement. then contact paypal & give them the crime number.

i am getting tougher in my old age about this stuff

Hmm. You can't open a dispute via ebay, as (I'm assuming) although the item was advertised on there, you didn't complete a sale through them.

I'm not sure how paypal would take a claim against "goods not as described", as paypal being owned by ebay they could get shirty on the fact you made a purchase outside of ebay. Worth a shot though

Ebay won't help because you broke the fundamental rule and purchased outside Ebay. Paypal might help.

Paypal WILL help. Ive recently had to sort disputes out, items not bought through ebay. Ebay wont care if you didnt buy through them.

Paypal will only ask if it wasnt recived/not as described. Mine wasnt as described and i got a full refund by taking up a full dispute and as per usual paypal sided in my favor.

Yes - log a dispute, they will pay you back no worries....I know as I sent a genuine item, the buyer disputed they were real sent them back not the same way I sent them and I need to now pay back!!!

Well he has refunded me.

But i'm not going to send the items back.
What can i do to get this guy to stop trading counterfeit goods??
He has another listing on ebay now selling exactly the same item!!
Same pictures and listing!

Suppose you could contact eBay to make them aware of his fake goods and see if they do anything. There seems to be sellers disappearing all the time from, I'd imagine, bad selling etc.

Main thing is you got your money back.

Or you could just list your newly acquired fakes yourself lol

last year i bought an "authentic" fox mx tshirt, it was priced correctly sold by a power seller, item arrived and was clearly a fake, you could tell by the print on the t shirt and the shoddy sticker pack that came with, i contacted the seller telling him i would contact trading standards for selling by deception as i had visited an authorized fox dealer and had it confirmed the t shirt was a fraud, even though i hadnt, the seller immediatly sent a message back saying a full refund would be sent 1st asap, and got to keep t shirt, great for work, touch lol
