my little gsi wont fire up i can smell fuel just it wont fire iv tryed spraying wd40 on the plugs and leads still no joy iv not run the car for 2 days and this is the first time it hast stared up :confused:

Are you getting a spark mate if not your distributor or coil could have gone faulty.

gutted as its not played up before plus i need it to get to work

make sure that engine earth on gear box to body is good i had that happen to me were it broke and sound like coil might be breaking down i try spark plug in end of lead from coil see if spark strong there if i is but weak at plugs you no that coil ok check no air line crack in dizzy cap and check rotor arm ok

its aliveeee lol i got it started this morning.. put the jump leads on it from my dads car and kept the key turned took about 5 10 mins to get it goin died afew times but manged to get it goin after a bit

id get your battery and alternator checked make sure that the earth good on alternator before you do alternator check cause will stop it charging

When i went on holiday once mate for a week it did the same, just left it on charge over night and was fine! Strange why it done it after two days tho...
