Doesn't work like that. My logged V6 still comes up as a "Nova Saloon 993cc" instead of 2962cc.

Quote a Cav Turbo then add some ££ ontop.

You cant put a reg in and it comes up "Nova 2L turbo"
It will still be down as the original car. Mine comes up as 1196 Nova GL on insurance databases

You have to ring up and add the engine as a modification.

A rough guide would be do as Mike said....

i dont think i will be having one for a while £3627 full comp on a turbo 4x4 thats expensive!! im 20- 1 years no claims, police officer(told it should bring it down) compared to insuring a land rover for 1200!
o well thanks for all you help

Have you tried a specialist? I don't think Sky can help as you've only got 1 years NCB (they require 2 iirc), but might be worth trying HIC/Flux and Greenlight.

Would be nice to see another nice spec Nova locally, I presume it would be a track car with you being one of her majesties finest, and obviously adhering to all speed limits lol

i always stick to the speed limits but no would be a road car (my toy) i currently drive a 306 D estate which is the family car (i have a 8 month old daughter) and im very very bored of it. so want a toy to use on weekends when im not working and will use it to get to and from work from time to time

I think everyone is in the same boat mate, a good one for right money just doesn't seem to happen any more, either standard or modified, and buyers with deep pockets seem to pop up every now and again, bumping up prices all the time, you really have to have eyes evrywhere to pick up a bargain, good luck though

Yes as mentioned the registration number will not help. You need to speak to specialist insurers, not online comparison sites etc.

You'll need to pick up the phone if you dont own the car at least have some rough details prepared, eg where the donor engine came from (eg Cally 16v astra GTE) and also what other supporting mods there are.

Whats the lowest insurance group for a c20let engine?

Would an african c20let astra engine be cheaper or more expensive?

Groups are only there as a guide and vary from company company.

What do you mean by an african c20let?!

I'm interested on how much this would cost me, I'm 34 with 15 years no claims.
