My works van turbo has just gone, been out for the morning delivering and when martyn came back he said the turbo is making strange noise and whirling. Been out and took it apart to find that the turbine whobles alot and oil is leaking out :(. Where could I get it reconditioned and how much? Needs to be as cheap as possible. Thanks

Be careful when buying second hand there is lots of sh!te about, as you say there arn't many new transits in scrap yards yet so for what reason was the turbo removed?

take the impellors out and run it as is.

If you were to simply take the turbine shaft out you would have to block the hole left with something ie a nut bolt and some washers etc or block/loop the oil feed otherwise it would piss everywhere.

I wouldn't recommend this option
