Quick carb question

Looking to buy a carb off a fellow PNG'er.

I'm after the 2e3 as found on the SR's. The person selling says the carb has the markings of '2e' only.

Does this mean it's not a 2e3 or is there no difference?

Also is the 2e or 2e3 a manual choke? Would I still need the choke cable when upgrading from a 1b (12ST)?

Should be an auto choke. SR's were as were Astra's & Carltons I've come accross withthis carb.

you want one with a 20 and 34 mm chokes. I cant remember where you look off hand, I think its either on the outside of the barrels or looking down into the venturis that you will see it cast. Some of the bigger models use large chokes. they were fitted to golf and sierras too.

Ok I'll ask the chap selling it, so it should have a 20 and 34 stamp on it for it to be a 2e3.

Just wanna make sure it's the right carb as I am specifically after a 2e3. If this 2e is no different then should be all good.
