as most of you have probably already read, some little tosser stole my £4,000 downhill bike over the christmas period leaving me not only unable to ride, but unable to compete! well, still no news on the mising bike, so i went out and got myself a new 1 on sunday, drove the 300+ mile round trip to sheffield to get it. its not a downhiller, which means im still unable to compete, but its a pretty stirdy bit of kit, its a trek remedy 8.... heres a pic.

A friend of mine used to spend money like that on bikes and he didn't even compete!

Tried to get my to "steal" one of them once so he could claim on the insurance and use the money on a car lol

Thats wounding bud, i know how painful it is to lose a bike as ive had a few taken over the years.

My mate bought a GT Zaskar frame set back in 96 when they were still up towards a grand in price, built it all up from the parts from his Marin Bear Valley SE, and hadnt finished it when his house got broken into and it went, wasnt seen again till about a year or two later when we saw a silver Zaskar with yellow Judys being ridden down the road and we recognised it straight away through still having MarinLite cantilever brakes and a few other Marin bits which wouldnt have been on any other build, needless to say he bailed like Linford Christie on a bike, and even jumped a level crossing barrier in front of an oncoming train to get away

Never seen it again which is a shame as it was a right mess when we saw it:cry:
