Standard poverty spec as found on 1.0ltr and 1.2 novas, theyre poo and prone to seizing, swap for a set from a 1400 should be a cheap swap and easy enough to do, mk2 1.2 spi have ate type the same size aswell, or you can go for a 2.0ltr upgrade!

Are they not early nova sr ones or poss GTE ones as there vented pov spec ones were solids.

they are nova gte/astra mk1/2 gte, cav mk2 236mmx 20mm vented discs with delco calipers.....the calipers are crap

throw the calipers away & either get astra mk3 236 vented calipers, or get 256mm discs and calipers from a cav mk3/vectra/astra mk3/calibra

the delco ones were standard fit on mk1,2 astras, novas up to about 1990 ish, cav mk2, and I think mantas & carltons....

they came in solid & vented. the only difference in the calipers was the size of the bolt on bit.

the two slider pins seized up about 8 seconds out from the dealership, the pistons also seized when idiots didn't push them in properly. they were slightly better than no brakes, but not much

Astra 16v stuff FTW in this instance. You have the 14" wheels to fit them in. I love those LXi alloy wheels.

will any mk3 astra calipers fit with my discs and no other mods or bits, if so ideal :)

never thought a picture of my brakes would cause such a fuss

we only disagree as to just how crap they are........

the m reg astra mk3 1.7 isuzu td I used to have had ate calipers that fitted straight onto the nova vented 236mm diameter discs.....

BUT the best brakes for that wheel size are the 256mm diameter vented brakes, they have a lot more bite.

what do they come of then? and are the discs pads and calipers a straight bolt on job?
