xe conversion?

hi guys ive jus been told that when doing a redtop conversion sometimes the engine hits the bonnet i thought it to be strange as ive neva heard of that one before

I've heard of it happening before, seen some engines that appear slightly higher on one side.

I'm sure in all the cases I remember it was when using solid mounts, although I used them on mine and had no problems. Til we fitted the V6 lol

so they were maybe fitted incorectly ???

My mates xe nova used a regal fitting kit and you could see a mark on the bonnet where the engine was just touching it on the right hand side as you look at it.

Most mounts come with 3holes in them, use the bottom two. Should never touch the bonnet.

hmm.. the rubber from the timing belt hits the bonnet very slightly. small bang with the hammer sorted that lol
