XE parts

hey guys, im in need of some parts to complete the XE

XE Clutch cover
XE manifold to suit 45's. must be a 7 degree jobbie
bolts for the flywheel.
bolts for bottom pulley
Ford type 9 gearbox

WHY

dean. are they new? ( are they stretch bolts? should you replace them?)

they arnt new i have used old bolts before can supply a 50ml of threadlock aswell

ok cool. do you know if they are stretch bolts?

ok had a read in haynes it says reuse bolts so ill take them with the thread lock

wouldnt reccomend usind old flywheel bolts. for all they cost from vaux.

Yeah dont re-use fly bolts. They aint cheap new though, think there about 3-4quid each, and you need 8.

Out of interest why a 8v sump?? 16v one is better

ok. ill have a look into ARP bolts. do i need a special socket for them?

and an 8v one because i need to cut and shut it to make a big wing sump for the RWD conversion.
and i dont fancy buying a tig welder lol.

i have an almost brand new 16v sump. which is for sale :)

YEah think you need a special socket for ARP's.

Just need a normal 12 sided socket for ARP's like you get in most toolkits.

why dont you use manta gear box off a 1.8 berlinetta also me has manifold and matchingpair of45's with air filtrs aint cheap though..

as long as they are not ridculas priced and in good condition ill listen.

and i would rather buy a common type 9 box with loads of potential. then struggle to find a manta one. and if i ruin it. struggle to find another!
